Metro Esports Team is committed to providing every student with a rigorous program that incorporates gaming education that purposefully integrates content and skills from engineering, technology, science, computer science, and mathematics to foster gaming industry literacy. Students apply integrated content to develop games and solutions while employing skills critical for postsecondary study and career success.
As an official STEM-based learning organization by STEM.org since 2021, the programs we have created will offer a flexible and personalized learning environment for youth and adults both virtually and in-person as a part of the integrated school day, after-school programs, and/or summer camps. The mission of Metro Esports is to promote esports in an experiential and interdisciplinary methodology to teaching and learning.
Students can choose from different studies across the gaming and tech landscape. Metro Esports programming is organized into three primary disciplines, including Game Development, Game Design, and Game Business, with the following areas of production: Visual Design & Animation, Programming, Esports Business, Content Creation, and a Project Internship. These programs were created in mind from entry-level to undergraduate certifications.
In other words, students who seek game entrepreneurship or technical expertise can complete school faster, create strong portfolios, and learn industry skills from educators or industry professionals with extensive, current experience in their field.
Our approach reflects an industry that has experienced an explosion in consumer gaming and enterprise gaming. Over the past few decades, the gaming industry has evolved from just a source of entertainment to one that includes education and training.
